Mr F and his family had a relatively small area to that they wanted cover within their back garden, the area was adjacent to their house and they really wanted to make it work for them, and, in every sense create an outdoor room. The area that they wanted to cover was 2m x 2.6m and they wanted to achieve a contemporary feel to the space. We were able to accommodate the colour request of RAL 9007 (Grey Aluminium) for the louvres and RAL 7021 (Black Grey) for the louvre support beams. In addition to the contemporary light grey flooring Brett has also added an infra red heater, a privacy/weather screen, and, LED lighting into the recess in the bottom of the louvre support beam. All in all a very successful project where attention to detail was all and paid dividends in abundance. We were delighted to supply Mr F with his opening and closing louvre roof system and work with him towards a successful project.
Mr F and his family wanted to create a small outdoor room adjacent to their home and believed that a Light`n`Shade opening and closing roof would be the ideal roof covering for their project. A concern that Mr F had while planning the project was that a fixed roof covering would permanently reduce the amount of natural daylight into their home as it would need to be constructed directly above a large patio door. The Light`n`Shade solution solved this problem because it allows in over 90% of natural light when the roof is in the open position meaning that the adjoining room within their home is still light and airy even with the outdoor room built outside.
The size of the area that they wanted to turn into an outdoor room cover was 2m x 2.6m. The family wanted to achieve a contemporary feel to the new space and we were able to assist with this by being able to supply the roof and its components to match the colour scheme that they had in mind. The Light`n`Shade louvres were supplied in RAL 9007 (Grey Aluminium) while the louvre support beams were painted in RAL 7021 (Black Grey).
The outdoor room is attractively finished with a contemporary light grey floor, an infra-red heater, a privacy/weather screen, and LED lighting fitted neatly into the recess in the bottom of the louvre support beam.
